DTF Washing Instructions

DTF transfers are one of the most common ways of having brilliant designs on clothes. However, unlike a typical t-shirt, keeping your DTF prints stand out, there are a few things that you need to avoid when washing them. 

DTF prints are designed onto a special film and then transferred onto the garments using heat and pressure. This film is peeled off and left behind a design. These prints are extremely weather and heat-resistant but if one does not wash them correctly, they could be damaged.

Cold water is gentler on the print and helps preserve its colour and integrity. Stick to cold or cool water washes to prevent shrinking and colour fading.

Choose a delicate or gentle cycle on your washing machine. A gentle cycle minimizes stress and agitation during the wash, helping it last longer. If it’s possible use a washing machine with a hand wash setting for an even more gentle treatment.

Harsh chemicals and bleach are no friends to DTF prints. These weaken the adhesive bond of the print and lead to premature fading. Opt for a mild laundry detergent to clean your garment effectively without damaging the design.

Taking good care and washing your DTF-printed clothes properly preserves their brightness and ensures that the prints are not easily faded or peeled off.
